The Europeana Newspapers project is asking European libraries with newspaper collections to take its survey on the extent of newspaper digitisation.
It found that access to digitised newspapers is nearly always free of charge but that access to 20th century content was limited and few libraries had managed to make full-text newspaper content available.
By running the survey a second time, the Europeana Newspapers Project hopes to gather information from a greater number of libraries, and to use their responses to create a more complete Europe-wide picture about newspaper digitisation.
Survey responses must be submitted by 31st July 2013. Questions can be directed to Alastair Dunning and the Europeana Newspapers team: firstname.lastname@example.org
