Appointments to the following vacancies on the LIBER Executive Board will be made at the Meeting of Participants in the National Library of Latvia, Riga, Latvia, on Thursday 3 July 2014:
(3) BOARD MEMBERS
Under LIBER’s Foundation Rules and Regulations, members of the Executive Board are called upon to act as Chairs of the Steering Committees set up by the Board. There is a vacancy for the Chair of the following Steering Committee:
CHAIR, STEERING COMMITTEE ON SCHOLARLY COMMUNICATION AND RESEARCH INFRASTRUCTURES
Board Member nominations should indicate whether the nominated person is prepared to chair the Steering Committee on Scholarly Communication and Research Infrastructures.
Nominated candidates must be from current LIBER Libraries. Participants (members) in the categories of Institution and Organisation are entitled to stand for appointment under LIBER’s Rules and Regulations. Candidates may be proposed by the nominee’s home library or by another LIBER Library. The consent of the candidate should be obtained by the proposer in all cases before a nomination is submitted.
Please note that the LIBER Executive Board welcomes nominations from younger candidates and from candidates in countries across Europe.
