Are you a librarian who would like to better understand the implications of Open Science for your work, including the potential opportunities and challenges?
The introductory course is targeted at librarians who are committed to supporting researchers and their research processes at their institutions. Those who take it will gain an overview of the following:
- How Open Science relates to research integrity, reproducibility and impact
- How to identify the implications and opportunities for libraries in the development and support of Open Science
- Existing initiatives and best practices related to Open Science
- Suitable resources and tools to further develop library services on Open Science
The course was released as pre-workshop material for a FOSTER event held during the 2016 LIBER Annual Conference in Helsinki. More than 40 participants from 16 European countries engaged in the interactive sessions, which focused on the planning and design of training resources for events related to Open Science.
