The EU-funded OpenAIRE project, in which LIBER is a partner, is searching for an external consultant to put together an economic analysis study on the evolution of the Open Access publishing market.
Using the findings of the EC FP7 Post-Grant Open Access Pilot as a starting point, the report should aim to answer the following research questions:
- To what extent may this post-grant funding initiative (together with other policies aimed to support Gold Open Access) have an impact on the evolution of the Open Access publishing market?
- Can the findings of this initiative be used as a starting point to lay out a roadmap for a transition towards a sustainable and competitive market?
The call is aimed at independent consultants or teams with a proven record of conducting economic and strategic business analysis, ideally with wide knowledge and experience of the scholarly publishing market.
The deadline for bid submission is 7 October 2016 at 1700 CEST.
More information on the goals, budget and time schedule for the work is available in the full call for proposals.
