Dr Stefanie Haustein is a post-doctoral researcher in bibliometrics at the Canada Research Chair on the Transformations of Scholarly Communication at the University of Montreal. Her research focuses on scholarly communication, bibliometrics, altmetrics and open science and analyzes the role of social media in academia.
She is co-director of the #ScholCommLab, associate member of the Centre interuniversitaire de recherche sur la science et la technologie (CIRST) and researcher at the Canada Research Chair on the Transformations of Scholarly Communication, Université de Montréal and the Observatoire des sciences et des technologies (OST), Université de Québec à Montréal.
She holds a Master’s degree in history, American linguistics and literature and information science and a PhD in information science from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany. Previously she has worked as a research analyst at Science-Metrix in Montreal, Canada and in the bibliometrics team at Forschungszentrum Jülich, Germany.
