Masud joined Lancaster University in 2013. His team is responsible for managing the strategy and service development for research support, open science, research intelligence, digital research infrastructures, digital humanities, unique and distinctive collections, and library’s digital systems. He is also responsible for coordinating digital research activities at the University, and an advocate for openness, collaboration and interoperability.
One of Masud’s key achievements has been the development of a research support service at Lancaster University which is now renowned across the UK for its innovative approaches and high quality.
I am keen to work in close collaboration with colleagues from other Libraries and LIBER provides the perfect platform for learning and sharing of expertise and best practices. Scientific information infrastructures and scholarly communication will continue to play a key role in developing world class research support services and this working group provides a great opportunity to build such services and communities together.
