Suzanne moved to the Netherlands with her daughter from Dundee, Scotland in 2003, initially on what was thought to be a one year break from study! After securing a position with a well known European energy trading company, over a period of 5 years she worked her way up the corporate ladder from Risk Management Administration Assistant to Manager Risk Control. After realizing this wasn’t an area she wanted to pursue a long term career in, she returned to study in 2008 to complete a Bachelor degree in International Public Management with The Hague University. After graduation she accepted a post working in international criminal justice, before finally joining LIBER in early 2015.
I really enjoy the versatility and challenge that comes from working for an organization operating on a European level, while at the same time having a compact team. I’m extremely happy to be able to say that in some small way I help support research, and other libraries as they are such an important knowledge base for society – this really speaks to what motivated me to change my career direction, and to what I hope to give back as a professional.
