Sharing & Learning From Each Other: A Very Successful First Meeting of LIBER’s DH & DCH Working Group
Highlights of Europeana v1.0 and other projects in the Europeana Group
Europeana v1.0 recently passed its formal mid-term review. The Commission’s specialists commented on how much had been achieved across such a complex set of tasks in a short time. See the latest highlights on political stakeholders, end-user audience, content providers, metadata, code, IPR and business model and value proposition at http://version1.europeana.eu/web/europeana-project/documents.
The priorities for the second half of the project will be explored at Europeana’s plenary conference entitled Europeana Open Culture 2010, to be held on 14 and 15 October at the Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam. Prior to the conference (13 October) there will be ancillary meetings, including Work Groups and the Council of Content Providers and Aggregators.
The project is entering a new phase now, planning virtual exhibitions and roadshows in a number of countries as part of our Rhine release programme. Meanwhile, you can keep up with news from across the Europeana group of projects by subscribing to its RSS feed.
