The Steering Committee on Organisation and Human Resources is divided into three Working Groups : Leadership, Quality and benchmarking, Skills.
The Leadership Working Group is currently running a high-level three-steps seminar in 2011 (Barcelona, Spain) and 2012 (Tartu, Estonia) for future library directors, with training in between. First session in June 2011, 27th and 28th, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain.
Second session for the same group in June 2012, 25th and 26th , Tartu university, Estonia.
New three-steps seminar expected to start in Munich, June 2013.

The Quality and Benchmarking Working Group has run a survey on the use of Libqual+ in Europe (2011, results presented during the SC meeting, June 2011, Barcelona ; publication expected before the end of the year) ; the other goal – identifying key indicators for benchmarking, connected to the european universities ranking project – will be tackled afterwards (sept. 2011 – June 2012).

The Skills Working Group has been assigned three goals : to give a clear overview of recent studies on skills for staff working in libraries in Europe ; to gather good practices from LIBER members ; to develop guidelines for librarians through all over Europe. Process is on the way.
