SUMMARY:Open Humanities @ The Humanities and Technology Camp (THATCamp)
DESCRIPTION:A series of Open Humanities training sessions, during THATCamp Göttingen – a pre-conference event of the 50th Convention of German Historians, Historikertag (one of Europe’s largest humanities conferences). In addition to self-organised ‘barcamp’ sessions, the Open Humanities training sessions will cover the following topics: Open Humanities (open access, open data, open standards and open attitude), Open History (a specific session dedicated to openness for historians); Open Humanities Data (data sharing, licensing, linked data technologies and the semantic web) and Open Access for Digital Arts and Humanities in Europe (Open Access repositories and innovative types of publication platforms for the arts and humanities).\nThe outcomes of the event will be made available via Open Edition’s publication platform for academic blogs Hypotheses.org, including embedded video of the training sessions. It is intended that this blog will be a first stepping stone towards creating an Open Humanities training package which could be offered as a contribution to DARIAH, the Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities.\nEvent website ( http://goettingen2014.thatcamp.org/schedule/ ).\n
