SUMMARY:4th LEARN Research Data Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Fourth LEARN Workshop on Research Data ( http://learn-rdm.eu/en/workshops/4th-workshop/programme/ ) will be hosted by ECLAC in Santiago, Chile on 27 October 2016.\nThis event, titled “Implementation of policies and strategies in Latin America and the Caribbean”, is aimed at providing participants with an opportunity to learn about Latin American experiences in Research Data Management, including policy development and implementation.\nA vast range of international speakers will present at the Workshop. It will be an excellent opportunity to get an up-to-date perspective of challenges and strategies, to exchange experiences and to strenghten networks that will increase collaboration and promote the development of Research Data Management in Latin America and the Caribbean.\nThe Workshop will include keynote speeches by Dr. Paul Ayris (University College London), Dr. Martin Hilbert (University of California) and Dr. Claudio Gutiérrez (Universidad de Chile / CIWS), and two discussion panels, in which experts from Latin American countries will address the current state, challenges and strategies for the development of RDM across the region.\nSee the event programme.
