DESCRIPTION:The workshop “How Research Institutions And Libraries Can Help Deliver The European Open Science Cloud” is organised by LIBER on behalf of the EOSCpilot ( https://eoscpilot.eu/ ) project.\nThe half-day event, which will be held at the IDCC2018 ( http://www.dcc.ac.uk/events/idcc18/ ) conference in Barcelona, targets research libraries, academic institutions and other research-performing organisations – the key intermediaries between researchers and EOSC service providers –.\nWorkshop Agenda\n\n\n\n1:30- 2:30\nIntroduction Session\n• The role of libraries and institutions in liaising with EOSC service providers in relation to publishing, dissemination and long-term preservation of research data – Torsten Reimer, British Library.\n• How libraries and institutions contribute to the EOSC in relation to institutional policies and best practices – Marta Teperek, Technical University Delft.\n• Alternative methods of evaluating and rewarding scholars and scholarly communication – Karen Vandevelde, University of Gent.\n\n\n2:30- 3:00 \nCoffee Break\n\n\n3:00- 4:30\nInteractive Session\nThe participants will split in discussion groups, with each speaker and EOSCpilot project participants as facilitators.
