DESCRIPTION:LIBER is happy to organise a workshop on behalf of OpenAIRE, Beyond APCs: Alternative Open Access Publishing Business Models.\n\nThursday April 5th 2018 (9:30 – 17:00) \nThis public workshop will give an overview of the work done in the two calls for alternative funding mechanisms for open access publishing initiatives. We will discuss:\n\nBusiness models: different types, what works, what doesn’t, what is scalable, interesting examples\nOutreach and dissemination: how to achieve enough critical mass to make a publishing initiative sustainableA detailed programme will be released shortly. Confirmed speakers are: Stephanie Dawson (ScienceOpen), Jeroen Sondervan (Utrecht University), Alexandra Jobmann (University of Bielefeld), Janneke Adema (Radical Open Access Collective) and Jadranka Stojanovski (Hrčak).\n\nFriday April 6th 2018 (9:30-14:00)\nThis internal workshop for will look at the bids received for OpenAIRE’s second call for alternative funding mechanisms, and will examine lessons learnt from both calls for alternative funding mechanisms.\nThose awarded funding in the second call are required to come.
