Anders Toftgaard is a research librarian at the department of Manuscripts and rare books at The Royal Library, Copenhagen. MA in comparative literature, he received his Ph.D.-degree in romance philology from the University of Copenhagen in 2006 and is specialized in late medieval and Renaissance French and Italian literature. His most recent publications are articles on Montaigne in Les Chapitres oubliés des Essais de Montaigne (ed. P. Desan), Champion, 2011 and Revue romane, Tom. 45, 2010.
