LIBER is pleased to announce that Melanie Imming has been appointed EU Projects Manager. Melanie first joined LIBER on a temporary basis in October 2014 and will now become a permanent member of the LIBER team.
Working as a Senior Project Manager at the National Library of the Netherlands (KB) for the last six years, Melanie has led several innovative projects focused on the development of the digital library. She was also Sub Project Lead in the EU funded FP7 SCAPE project, which received a final rating of Excellent. Melanie has a background in audiovisual media and is experienced in translating more technical themes to the greater public.
Speaking about her new role, Melanie said: “Nowadays, with all the new media channels at hand, the possibility of really working together within a strong international network of professionals has taken off like never before. It will be exciting to see how we can use the outcomes of our EU Projects to the benefit of our members in the best possible way. LIBER is one of the respected actors in the field of library experts and it feels very special to be part of this.”
