After joining the National Library of Finland in 2002, Esa-Pekka has been involved with digital collections management, digital preservation, persistent identifiers, electronic legal deposit, and web archiving, as well as with Open Access and institutional repositories. Since 2015, he has worked within the framework of the Open Science and Research Initiative (openscience.fi). His current focus is in developing data management services to researchers and research organizations, especially in the field of data preservation.
We are living exciting times – the information landscape is changing, and so are the tasks of research libraries. There is a lot happening, and the Scientific Information Infrastructures working group is a great place to keep connected and informed, share ideas and experiences, and work for the common goals.
