Currently Director for Heritage Collections and Preservation at the National and University Library Strasbourg (France), Frédéric has been active on policies, projects and working groups related to digitization and digital humanities for the last 15 years, on a local but also national and international level.
He is leading the Alsatian regional digital library project Numistral and is a member of the French national working group on digitization in HE and research institutions.
He published on several themes, and coordinated a book presenting a landscape of Libraries in Europe (2013). Frédéric has also been a member of the Governing Board of IFLA (2011-2015) and its treasurer (2013-2015).
Being involved in the Digital Humanities & Digital Cultural Heritage Working Group is an important asset for helping my institution build its DH infrastructure and services to research. It also shows the interest of my library, located in one of the European capitals, to play an active role on a continental level as well.
