I am a philologist (Estonian, Finnish) by education, and currently a doctoral student of semiotics. Since graduating from the university I have worked at the largest and oldest Estonian library – the University of Tartu Library. I have attended LIBER conferences since 2002, having been involved in the work of different working groups. Hobbies: naïve art, hiking, writing (about libraries, family history, anything that captures my attention).
Cooperation is important and LIBER is a good opportunity to cooperate with colleagues from other libraries and different countries. The Programme Committee is a team of people keen on the development of libraries. All together, we work on drawing a programme which would take into account changes in librarianship and scholarly community and attempt to find ways and possibilities for libraries to keep up with the changing world.
