The topics and objectives of the workshop are:
- To exchange information on the current strategic context in which preservation activities take place
- To share perspectives on future directions for preservation management
- To foster collaboration between preservation policy makers in European libraries, including those based in Central and Eastern Europe
The workshop will be very relevant for all types of library in the current economic situation – the methodologies that the speakers will present should provide useful insights for everyone working to tight budgets and with limited resources.
The workshop will be hosted by the Saxony-Anhalt State and University Library at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, on 29-30 September 2011.
The provisional programme is available here. There is no registration fee, but registration is required. Participants will cover their own costs, including accommodation and catering costs.
