Highlights of the LIBER Annual Conference 2025
The 54th LIBER Annual Conference took place from 2-4 July 2025 at the Cantonal and University Library of Lausanne (Bibliothèque cantonale et universitaire Lausanne – BCU Lausanne) in Switzerland. Let’s have a look back at the highlights from the week that brought together research librarians and information professionals from Europe and beyond.
This year, the LIBER Annual Conference convened in Lausanne, a city closely linked to our Association’s early history. Back in 1971, then director of BCUL and one of the founding figures of LIBER, Jean-Pierre Clavel, recognised the importance of connecting research, university, and national libraries on an international level. And now, 54 years later, we gathered together at the library overlooking the blue waters of Lac Léman for three days of learning, networking, and collaboration.
We thank all participants, our host BCUL, the Conference Programme Committee, volunteers, sponsors, organising team, and everyone else involved in making the LIBER Annual Conference 2025 a success!
