MES-CoBraD Featured as an EU Research & Innovation Success Story
The MES-CoBraD project has been highlighted as a EU Research & Innovation Success Story by the European Commission.
Running from 2021 to 2024, the interdisciplinary Multidisciplinary Expert System for the Assessment & Management of Complex Brain Disorders (MES-CoBraD) project brought together clinical information and scientific research with the goal of building an expert system to help diagnose and treat complex brain disorders such as dementia and epilepsy. As part of the project consortia, LIBER led stakeholder engagement and content dissemination activities, connecting the library community to topics of Real-World Data (RWD), data management, and citizen science.
The EC Success Story outlines the project’s main focus areas and showcases the impact of the MES-CoBraD platform on the research community. The article also highlights the project’s work on ethical application of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare and recommendations for reducing bias in AI-enabled care, as one of the first EU-funded projects to dedicate part of its research on this topic.
