France’s National Plan for Open Science

An English translation of France’s new national plan to activate Open Science — presented by the French Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Frédérique Vidal, at LIBER’s 2018 Annual Conference — is now available.

The plan is centered around three key committments:

  1. Generalise Open Access To Publications
  2. Structure Research Data And Make It Available Through Open Access
  3. Be Part Of A Sustainable European And International Open Science Dynamic

At the same time as the French plan for Open Science was published, LIBER also published its own Open Science Roadmap to guide research libraries in the implementation of Open Science across their institutions and wider communities.
