LIBER 2020: Registration Delayed Due To Coronavirus

Posted: 03-03-2020 Topics: Annual Conference

Due to concerns regarding the coronavirus (Covid-19), LIBER is postponing the opening of registration for our 2020 Annual Conference in Belgrade, Serbia (24-26 June) by two weeks.

The situation with the coronavirus is changing quickly and many colleagues are currently unable to commit to attending the conference because of travel limits put in place by their institutions. Both of these facts contributed to our decision to postpone registration.

Please be assured: we remain committed to holding LIBER 2020 and are proceeding with the organisation of the event, with safety as a top priority.

We will provide another update on 16 March, and possibly before if the situation with the virus changes significantly. An overview of the situation, and the measures we are taking, is available here.

In the meantime, we are in daily contact with the local organisers of LIBER 2020 and are monitoring updates from the European Union, the World Health Organisation and other relevant bodies.

If your organisation already has a coronavirus-related travel policy in place which would prevent you from registering for the conference, please tell us. By better understanding the restrictions already faced by our network, we will be able to more effectively plan the next steps.

Other LIBER events, including the Architecture Seminar, the Emerging Leaders and Journées leadership programme, are scheduled to be held as planned. Given the unpredictable nature of the virus, we advise all attendees of these events to make flexible travel arrangements. We will contact all registered attendees with more information.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact the LIBER Office (liber@kb.nl).
