Dragana Janković is an Information Technology Engineer, Business Process Manager, and Librarian with over 26 years of experience at the University Library Svetozar Marković in Belgrade.
She has played a key role in numerous national and international digitisation projects, particularly those of national significance, and was actively involved in the development of Pretraziva.rs, the region’s largest searchable digital library.
Her expertise spans digital transformation, open access, and citizen science. She was a project member of the CeOS_SE project (coordinated by LIBER), contributing to the mainstreaming of citizen-engaged Open Science in Southeastern Europe. Since November 2022, she has been an active member of the LIBER Citizen Science Working Group, where she co-edited Sections 2 and 3 of the Citizen Science Guide.
Dragana is also a certified trainer and co-author of accredited professional development programs for librarians, covering topics such as: Citizen Science: Librarians as a Link Between Science and Citizens, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Library and Information Science: Innovative Tools for Diverse Applications in the Digital Era – Current State and Perspectives.
In addition to her professional and project-based work, she is the author and co-author of numerous articles published in professional and scientific journals.
With her extensive experience in digital innovation, citizen science, and open access, she is committed to fostering collaboration and strengthening the role of libraries in Citizen Science initiatives.
