LIBER 2022 Winter Event: Call for Proposals
We are happy to announce that LIBER’s first-ever Winter Event will be held in-person on 1 and 2 December 2022 at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands. After the success of LIBER 2022 Odense we are excited to once again bring together our LIBER network in the spirit we all know and greatly value.
The event will be a space for us to reconnect and gain new inspiration for a range of topics within our field. It will serve as a stimulating forum for the presentation and discussion of work undertaken by LIBER Working Groups. Work that is carried out through the International Projects in which LIBER is involved as a partner will also be showcased.
The Winter Event Task Force, therefore, invites proposals for workshops, lightning talks, and demos. Below you can find details for submitting your proposal.
Theme & Topics
The theme of the inaugural LIBER Winter Event is Building on collaboration for the future. Proposals can emphasise various topics of interest that relate to the engagement of user communities within research libraries. All LIBER Working Groups and project partners are invited to submit a proposal that fits under the main theme.

- Open Access
- Copyright & Legal Matters
- Training & skills development
- Library Architecture

Who can Submit a Proposal?
All LIBER Working Groups and LIBER project partners are invited to submit a proposal that fits under the main theme.
The audience will comprise those within the LIBER network (working groups, project partners, collaborators, etc.). Additionally, please note that submitted proposals should take into account the fact that the audience size may be smaller than anticipated due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation.
The Winter Event Task Force will compile a definitive programme based on the proposals received. The programme will be finalised by the early October 2022. More information on the programme and event registration will be made available via the LIBER news section on our website, our newsletter (LIBER Insider), and social media channels.
Since this is an in-person event, we will adhere to national and European health protocols to ensure the safety of all participants.
Submission Guidelines & Deadline
Please fill out the submission form. As part of this form, applicants are also asked to include a short proposal that describes all key characteristics of the workshop, such as:

Please mail the abovementioned completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org by the 30th of September 2022.
