Creating Community-Driven Pathways to Equitable Open Scholarly Publishing with CRAFT-OA, DIAMAS, and PALOMERA

On the 20th of June, two LIBER projects – DIAMAS and PALOMERA – will host a joint webinar together with a third project, CRAFT-OA. The event will present the projects’ joint vision for an equitable future for scholarly communication, and introduce their respective areas of focus. The discussion will demonstrate the projects’ common goal for open and equitable scholarly publishing.

About the event

DIAMAS, PALOMERA and CRAFT-OA are three HORIZON Europe-funded projects that are working towards an equitable future for scholarly communication, with academic communities at the centre. LIBER participates in DIAMAS and PALOMERA to engage the research library network in this shared goal.

While DIAMAS focuses on developing common standards, guidelines and practices for the Diamond publishing sector, CRAFT-OA and PALOMERA have different aims. CRAFT-OA looks at the IT systems behind journal platforms to help them upscale, professionalise, and reach stronger interoperability. PALOMERA is developing actionable recommendations and concrete resources to support and coordinate aligned funder and institutional policies for Open Access books.

In this webinar, participants will have the chance to learn more about each of the projects and engage with their vision for community-driven open scholarly publishing.

Who can attend?

The webinar is free to attend and open to anyone interested in open scholarly communication, Open Access, and the infrastructures and technologies that facilitate advancements in these fields. Registration is required.
