LAG 2026 in Dublin
The 22nd LIBER Architecture Group Seminar will take place at the Technological University Dublin from May 6 to 8, 2026.
This year, the seminar will follow the theme: “Invest – Involve – Inspire: Shaping the next generation of Library Buildings,” bringing together library professionals, architects, designers, and other key stakeholders in the field of library architecture and design to share knowledge and explore both the challenges and opportunities involved in shaping the future of libraries.
At a time of profound transformation in academic libraries, the conference will serve as a platform to discuss the human and financial investment required, as well as the essential involvement of library staff, users, architects, designers, and funders. Whether creating new buildings or renovating existing ones, our goal is to ensure these spaces are truly innovative and inspiring.
Over the course of the event, more than 20 pioneering projects from across Europe will be presented and explored through keynote speeches, workshops, and panel discussions. The program will also include guided library visits. With a focus on emerging trends in architecture and design, key themes such as inclusivity, community engagement, and sustainability will be at the heart of the seminar.
We look forward to your participation and the exchange of innovative ideas that will shape the future of library architecture in Europe.
