The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) aims to mobilise, align and scale resources across Europe to accelerate open science, higher productivity, and increased reproducibility and trust in research, while contributing to FAIR data principles. While researchers and science professionals are at the heart of EOSC’s target audience, the role of research libraries within EOSC merits further discussion. This webinar will open the dialogue on the role of research libraries in EOSC and their contribution to accelerate and shape its adoption across the European research community, including universities and other research-intensive institutions.

Why attend?

Research libraries are key stakeholders in connecting researchers with EOSC and demonstrating its value. But what does this mean in practice? What support and resources do libraries need to fulfill this role, and how can they foster engagement with EOSC at institutional and national levels?

This session will bring together library professionals, research and science policymakers, and open science infrastructure representatives to explore these questions. Participants will hear experiences of engaging with EOSC, strengthen their capacity to get involved, and gain insights into EOSC’s evolving role within the broader European research landscape.
