Alex is the Head of Copyright and Licence in Library Services at the University of Birmingham.

He has worked in the intellectual property field for over a decade and has been at the University since 2014. His role includes advising the University community on what is permitted under copyright legislation and the various licences adopted by the University to ensure that copyright isn’t a barrier to teaching or research activity.

Alex is also the Library’s contact for data protection and freedom of information issues.
