Anna Clements

Director of Library Services & University Librarian, the University of Sheffield

Anna is Director of Library Services and University Librarian at the University of Sheffield. She has more than 20 years’ experience working in information technology, digital transformation and senior library roles in higher education.

Anna is an alumna of the LIBER Emerging Leaders programme and has a particular interest in the leadership role of research libraries in the transformation of research culture through open scholarship. Prior to joining the University of Sheffield, Anna held positions at the University of St Andrews, served on the euroCRIS board from 2013-2020,  and worked in the private sector, developing software and providing consultancy services.

Anna serves on the JISC Library Strategy Advisory Group, White Rose Libraries Executive Board, UUK/Jisc Content Expert Group, OCLC Research Library Partnership and is a member of national and international academic Library networks, including N8, RLUK, LIBER and IATUL. At LIBER, Anna has been part of the Conference Programme Committee (CPC) since 2021.
