Anxhela Dani is LIBER’s Events & Partnerships Coordinator. She leads the organising of LIBER’s Annual Conference, the Winter event, and other online and in-person events.
Anxhela holds a bachelor’s degree in Library Science and Information Systems (A.T.E.I. of Thessaloniki, Greece) and is a graduate of the International MBA (Management Concentration) of the Guglielmo Marconi University (Rome, Italy).
Before she joined LIBER, Anxhela worked as a Project Coordinator at various organizations, such as the Hellenic Foundation for Culture and Future Library, in which she coordinated the EU project ‘A Million Stories’, in Greece. She also worked as a Librarian at the National Library of Greece, under a program of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), and as a Data Librarian at CERN (Geneva, Switzerland), where her main tasks were related to Research Data management and Open Science.
During her studies, she worked on academic library projects regarding the digitization of materials and their metadata issues. From 2013 to 2024, she was part of the organizing committee of the International Conference on Metadata and Semantics Research (MTSR).
Her interests, apart from society and culture-oriented, are also focused on Research Data Management, Digital Preservation, and Open Science practices. She publishes in the fields of Digital Libraries, Open Repositories, Big Data, and Information Retrieval.
