Caleb Derven is Head of Technical and Digital Services at the University of Limerick, where he has overall responsibility for strategy and operations related to collections, electronic resources and library systems.
Additionally, Caleb is in charge of the Library’s digital services, including the digital library, the institutional repository and other services related to digital scholarship. Caleb is the Chair of the Rian Technical Committee, which is working on the next iteration of Ireland’s research publications aggregator.
Caleb has been an active participant in the international open repository software community. He holds a Master in Digital Humanities and is currently working towards a PhD in Computer Science.
My interest in the LIBER Digital Humanities & Digital Cultural Heritage Working Group stems from a keen desire to assist in moving library services towards digital scholarship practices and methodologies, particularly around the digital humanities.
