David Oldenhof has been serving as a policy advisor at the Vrije Universiteit Library in Amsterdam since 2019, and he has been an active member of the Citizen Science working group since 2023.

David earned his research master’s degree in History from Radboud University Nijmegen and holds a professional degree in Business Administration. From 2019 to 2021, he worked at VU Amsterdam as a management trainee. Since 2021, he has been actively involved in the university library, focusing on strategy, project management, grant proposal writing, and change management.

David has a great interest in libraries, particularly in understanding their role in fostering engagement and dialogue and as sanctuaries for reading, contemplation, and the embrace of silence.
