Dejana Kavaja Stanišić, born in 1968 in Belgrade, is an Information Advisor at the University Library “Svetozar Marković” in Belgrade. She is employed in the Department of Scientific Information and Education.
Dejana graduated in Pedagogy from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Belgrade. From 2005 to 2007, she worked in the Department of Core Activities of the University Library, where she was involved in connecting higher education libraries in the country and abroad, modernising library processes, and providing continuous training for librarians.
Since 2007, Dejana has been working in the Department of Scientific Information and Education, where she is engaged in the evaluation of scientific research work and the creation of bibliographies of cited references for the academic community in Serbia. She is also the author, implementer, and organiser of numerous educational programs, presentations, and interactive workshops for all study groups and researchers at the University of Belgrade.
Dejana has participated in international projects such as Europeana Newspapers and has published papers in professional journals both in the country and abroad.
Within the University Library, Dejana is also involved in tasks related to marketing and media correspondence. She collaborates with the Digitization Department in the implementation and promotion of cultural heritage digitization projects, as well as with the Center for Academic Support as a lecturer on topics related to searching for relevant information and using various tools, including new tools based on artificial intelligence.
