Andreas Degkwitz is co-chair of LIBER’s Digital Humanities & Digital Cultural Heritage Working Group and Chief Librarian of the Humboldt University of Berlin and Honorary Professor for Information Science at Potsdam University for Applied Sciences.

From 2004 to 2011 he was the Chief-Information-Officer of the Brandenburg Technical University of Cottbus. From 1998 to 2003 he was the Deputy Director of the Library of Potsdam University. From 1991 to 1998 he worked as a consultant for library affairs at the German Research Society.
