Michael Hertig holds a PhD in ancient philosophy as well as a Master’s degree in Archive, Library and Information Science.

He works as a system and data librarian at the Bibliothèque Cantonale et Universitaire, Lausanne, Switzerland. There he administrates the ILS of the library network Renouvaud with a focus on authority and subject indexing data. He is mainly active in implementing technologies such as automation processes, linked data and machine learning in the traditional environment of librarians.
