Dr Sefiane Touhami

The LIBER Data Science in Libraries (DSLib) working group explores and promotes library engagement in applying data science and analytical methods in libraries, taking into account all kinds of processes and workflows around library collections and metadata as well as digital infrastructures and service areas.

Dr Sefiane Touhami

IT and Data Science specialist, Renouvaud Network Switzerland

In 1996, Sefiane Touhami completed his PhD in Applied Mathematics at Nice University. He has been been working as IT specialist for the Renouvaud Network since 2017.

From 2014 to 2016, he created his own IT consulting business, UAE. During this time, he also worked as a part-time Adjunct faculty at Sharjah University. From 2000 to 2015, he worked as java-j2ee consultant for different companies in France and Switzerland. During these years he was involved in several projects as expert around java-j2ee technologies, software development and solution architecture. He also conducted training sessions on machine learning and java Object-Oriented Programming. From 1997 to 1999 he was a temporary teaching and researcher assistant at Mulhouse University.

He joined the Data Science in Libraries Working Group because it is a good opportunity for sharing knowledge, ideas and experiences. The group also helps to diversify and expand a professional network.
