Fiona Courage is the Deputy Director of Library, Culture and Heritage at the University of Sussex. Her current portfolio includes User Experience, Collections and Operations, having spent many years working in Special Collections. Fiona was extensively involved in the design and delivery of The Keep, a partnership project to provide a custom built archival research centre and associated services holding the collections of University and County record offices. Recent projects have included developing business cases for refurbishment and development work of the University of Sussex Library, a grade 2* listed building. Through these projects and responsibilities, she has gained experience in all aspects of Library building operations, from working with architects and Estates departments to overseeing day-to-day operations and services and maintenance of new and heritage buildings.
