Greete Veesalu is the Digital Curator for Cultural Heritage at the National Library of Estonia, where she is responsible for the delivery of digital collections and therefore, the digital heritage and library portal DIGAR. She has a decade of experience in records and information management, and until recently, her focus has been on the preservation of analog, digitised and born-digital records. Currently, she is involved in efforts to make digital cultural heritage more user friendly, accessible, and reusable. She is also part of the IIIF community.
Greete holds a Master’s in Contemporary History from University of Tartu and is particularly interested in historical imagology and collective memory.
