Greete Veesalu is the Digital Curator for Cultural Heritage at the National Library of Estonia. She manages the strategic accessibility of digital assets, holding responsibility for making digital collections and data accessible.
Greete has over a decade of experience in records and information management; until recently, her focus was on long-term preservation. Currently, she is involved in efforts to make digital cultural heritage more user-friendly, accessible, and reusable. She is also a member of the IIIF and CENL communities, as well as the LIBER Task Force on AI.
Greete holds a Master’s in Contemporary History from the University of Tartu and is particularly interested in historical imagology and collective memory.
She is a member of the LIBER Digital Scholarship and Digital Cultural Heritage Collections (DSDCH) Working Group.
