Henna Kanerva

Communication Intern

Henna is originally from Helsinki, Finland and now lives in the Netherlands. She is currently completing a master’s degree in Media & Business at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Since the academic year 2022-2023, she has held the position of ambassador of the master’s programme. Prior to this, Henna earned a bachelor’s degree in Media & Culture Studies from Utrecht University.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Henna has gained broad work experience in various roles in the technology sector in the Netherlands. With her interests expanding over to the cultural and non-profit sectors, in 2022, Henna completed an internship at Lahti Historical Museum (Finland), focusing on communications and exhibition management. During her time as a bachelor’s student, she also gained experience in editorial work, as she held the dual position of secretary and journal editor at the student-run academic journal of her study programme.

In her role as a communications intern at LIBER, Henna will support the organisation’s marketing and communication initiatives. She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge of non-profit organisations and LIBER’s work in the support of European research libraries.
