John Woitkowitz is the Head of Stabi Lab at the Berlin State Library.

He joined Berlin State Library (Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin) in 2023 as part of a digitisation and research infrastructure project and have since moved on to lead the Stabi Lab, the library’s digital research unit. Before joining the SBB, John completed postdoctoral research at the University of Cambridge and earned a PhD in History from the University of Calgary.

He is a member of the LIBER Digital Scholarship and Digital Cultural Heritage Collections (DSDCH) Working Group.
