Laura Steel Pascual is an Intern at LIBER, currently supporting the team in various communications activities. Laura is of Spanish, English and French nationality and is in her third year of her bachelor’s degree ‘Political Science: International Relations and Organisations’.

Most of her work outside LIBER is of an editorial nature to do with the world of politics and policy – she is student assistant to Leiden University’s Dr Steunenberg at the academic journal ‘Research and Politics’. Her core interests lie in European affairs, sustainability, writing, and research.

As a student, Laura spends half her time in libraries which makes it easy for her to understand their importance to society, just one of the reasons why she loves working with the LIBER team.
