Mariana Palashevska graduated in German Language and Literature and obtained the title of Professor for German Language and Literature.
She worked from 2007 to 2017 as a librarian in the German reading room at the National and University Library “St. Clement of Ohrid ” in Skopje, which was a project of the Goethe Institute. Since 2017, she has been a librarian for scientific and professional processing, cataloguing foreign monographic publications and preparing the Cataloguing in Publication – records.
She led an international project of the National and University Library “St. Clement of Ohrid ” in Skopje, Goethe-Institut and the Bavarian Provincial Library, and she has worked on projects and programmes implemented at the level of NI NUL, and joint projects between NI NUL and the Goethe-Institut. She has worked to organise cultural activities, as an organiser of smaller thematic exhibitions with and without a catalogue, book promotions, literary readings, creative writing workshops, etc.
In her spare time, she deals with literary translation from German into Macedonian and is a member of several associations including the Macedonian German Friendship, the Cooperation Association from Skopje and the Library Association of North Macedonia.
