Mitja V. Iskrić works at the Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia and is a member of LIBER’s Citizen Science Working Group.

He is involved in the library in many ways: with open science projects, the analysis of e-sources, managing of repositories and dealing with copyright issues. He participates in the activities of the Slovenian purchasing consortium of international scientific literature, organizes events, advises publishers and researchers on open access and manages the library’s social media.

I will be responsible for a new portal for Citizen Science in Slovenia, which will be run by our library. We would like to see our library as a hub of all activities, connecting with academia (which we support directly) and all the citizens (probably with cooperation with public libraries).
