Nick Sheppard is Open Research Advisor at the University of Leeds, and Senior Lead for the Knowledge Equity Network, an initiative to establish a collaborative community of engaged organisations and individuals across the world to change the way we share knowledge to make the most meaningful impact, for the benefit of all.

Nick has worked in academic libraries for nearly 20 years developing services to support open access, open and FAIR data, and open education. In 2023 Nick was recognised at UK Wikimedian of the Year for his work advocated for Wikimedia projects in the university sector.
