Peter Verhaar works as an assistant professor at the Leiden University Centre for Arts and Society, where he teaches classes on text encoding, text and data mining and machine learning, among many other topics.
Next to his position as a lecturer and researcher, he also works at Leiden University’s Centre for Digital Scholarship. As a digital scholarship librarian and a research software engineer, he helps scholars who want make use of digital research methods, and offers advice on various aspects of digital scholarship, including data science, open access publishing and research data management.
