Sarah Ames

Digital Scholarship Librarian, National Library of Scotland

Sarah Ames is Digital Scholarship Librarian at the National Library of Scotland, with responsibility for the Digital Scholarship Service.

As well as being a core member of LIBER’s Digital Humanities & Digital Cultural Heritage Working Group, she is a member of the RLUK Digital Scholarship Network and the Alan Turing Institute Humanities and Data Science group. Sarah has a PhD in nineteenth century literature, as well as postgraduate qualifications in Library and Information Studies, and Data Science.

She has previous experience in library service development roles, involving taking services from early stage programmes to business-as-usual activity.
