Sarah Slowe is the Head of the Office for Scholarly Communication (OSC) at the University of Kent.
The OSC provides support for researchers in maximising the dissemination, in the widest sense, of their work. The OSC fosters a diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary research environment through creating inclusive and adaptable systems, training and support.
Sarah has pioneered the responsible metrics culture at the University of Kent, with a focus on equipping researchers to be able to use appropriate metrics about their work, and the work of others, in accordance with the principles of the Leiden Manifesto and the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment.
Enthusiastic about researcher focussed services, passionate about co-produced research and a lover of challenges, Sarah is the OSC’s chief coffee drinker, cake eater, plant waterer and likes to talk (a lot).
