Siobhán Dunne is Head of Teaching, Research and User Experience at The Library of Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin. Here she leads the library’s user experience strategy and is working with a team of library researchers to better understand the research needs of staff and students.
Siobhán has been Chair of CONUL (Consortium of National and University Libraries) Teaching and Learning Group and the LIR Technical User Group for Libraries. In 2015 she was co-convener and member of the peer review panel for the international conference ‘Digital Research in the Humanities and Arts’. Siobhán holds an MSc in Education Leadership and is a peer reviewer for ‘Studies in Higher Education’ and ‘New Review of Academic Librarianship’.
Early in her career, Siobhán joined the National Disability Authority where she led a research library for policy makers, researchers and a national outreach service for disability networks. Prior to joining Trinity, she held the roles of Research Support and Humanities and Social Sciences Librarian at Dublin City University. Here, she was the recipient of the President’s Award for Innovation for her work on embedding augmented reality to support teaching.
The LIBER conference provides an invaluable network for librarians passionate about creating and sharing research that enriches citizen’s lives. I’m delighted to be part of the conference programme committee and local steering committee as Trinity welcomes delegates to LIBER 2019.
