LIBER’s Linked Open Data Working Group is writing a best-practice guide to library Linked Open Data (LOD) publication. As part of that work, we want to get in touch with people in libraries with experience in this field.
Would you like to share your library’s LOD publishing success story? If so, please let us know!
Via mini case studies in the document, we want to highlight real-life experiences and recommendations from libraries which have already published LOD. We are also searching for people who would like to present their LOD work during our upcoming LIBER 2020 ONLINE workshop.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday 23 June (1400-1700 CEST). An advanced draft version of the best practices document will be presented at the workshop and, based on the discussions there, a final version will be published.
The document will cover reasons for libraries to publish their data in open and linked format, and will present a step-by-step guide detailing the various aspects which need to be considered when planning and executing publication projects. The non-technical details of LOD publishing will also be covered.
If you are interested in sharing your work, please contact the chair of the working group, Matias Frosterus.
